Santa Pola Salt Flats Without Missing the Boat

Opdateret 2026 · Blanca Guide rejseguide

Santa Pola has two different mornings. One is the Tabarca boat. The other is the salt flats beside town. Mixing them is how you miss the last sailing.

1. Paths, not pans

Flamingos use the salinas. You use the marked paths and viewpoints around them. The pans are not a walking route.

2. Keep it separate from Tabarca

  • Do the flats before a boat day, or on a day with no sailing
  • A ferry deadline does not survive an extra hour of birdwatching
  • Morning light is when the birds are easiest to see

3. Park once, at a signed lot

Use a marked car park for the natural park edge. Do not drive the salt tracks. One stop is the visit.

Bottom line

Santa Pola flamingos are a path-and-morning visit. Do them on their own. Catch the Tabarca boat as its own plan.
