Calpe Old Town Evening Away From the Beach Strip

Calpe’s beachfront fills hard in summer. A few blocks uphill the old town stays walkable — if you time dinner and parking once.

1. Park below, climb once

Leave the car outside the tightest lanes. Circling for a doorstep space wastes the golden hour you came for.

2. Walk before you sit

• Do a 20-minute loop of the lanes first
• Then pick a terrace that is not the first English board you see
• Spanish dinner hours still apply — early seats are quieter

3. Skip a second strip stop

One old-town evening is enough. Adding the seafront afterwards usually means more noise for little gain.

Calpe evenings work better uphill: park once, walk the Casco Antiguo, eat on Spanish time — leave the strip for daytime swimming.
