El Campello Beach by Tram Instead of Car

El Campello beach is an easy tram ride from Alicante. Parking on the beach road in July is usually the stressful option.

1. Take L3 from Luceros — it ends here

Line 3 runs from Alicante-Luceros and ends at El Campello. Line 1 also stops here on the way to Benidorm. Either one skips the slow crawl along the beach road.

2. Walk downhill to the sand

The station is a few blocks from the beach, not right on the sand. Walk toward the port and the seafront — you do not need a taxi. Once you are there, stay put instead of driving between coves.

3. Catch an earlier tram home

• Return trams fill up in July and August
• A seat on an earlier tram beats standing on the last crowded one
• Check the board at El Campello before a long lunch

Bottom line

Take L3 from Luceros to El Campello, walk down to the beach, and head back before the evening rush. Skip parking on the beach road.
