Villajoyosa Old Town by Tram, Not the Seafront Loop

Actualizado 2026 · Guía de viaje Blanca Guide

The coloured houses are the postcard. The station is already in the old town — the seafront car hunt is optional, and usually a mistake.

1. L1 stops in the old town

From Alicante-Luceros, line 1 calls at La Vila Joiosa on the way to Benidorm. The station is by Maestro Pons and Calvario, west of the Amadorio river, inside the old town. You are not dropped on the beach.

2. Walk down to the houses

The coloured fronts are the seafront, a short walk downhill. Do that once. Circling for a doorstep space adds nothing the walk did not already give you.

3. One stop is the visit

  • Stay for the houses and a chocolate stop if you want one
  • Do not add a second parking search at the next cove
  • The tram back to Luceros is the same line

Bottom line

L1 to La Vila Joiosa, walk down to the coloured houses, ride back. Leave the seafront loop to the cars already in it.
